About the Study

We spend hours daily on digital platforms, yet know little about how they shape us.

This research explores real usage patterns to inform conversations about technology's role in society. How do recommendation algorithms affect what we see? How do our digital interactions reflect and shape who we are?

The Digital Life Project brings together economists from five universities. We study digital behavior with rigor, transparency, and respect for participant privacy.
